New Jersey's Province Archon

While an undergraduate at Monmouth University, Joe served two years as Sage for the Delta-Beta Chapter and served as IFC President. In 2002, Joe received an award for Exemplary Greek Leadership and in 2003 Joe won Monmouth's Greek Man of the Year Award.

After graduation, Joe became the Chapter Director of the Delta-Beta Chapter. In August 2004 at the 47th Biennial Convocation in Chicago, Joe received Sigma Pi Fraternity International's Lyle H. Smith Award for Most Outstanding Chapter Director (2002 - 2004); an award that he won again at the 48th Biennial Convocation in New Orleans in 2006 (for 2004 - 2006).

In Chicago, he also received the Dr. Lothar I. Iverson Fellowship from the Sigma Pi Educational Foundation, which he received again the following year at Sigma Pi University in 2005. The fellowship assisted him in pursuing graduate studies. During the New Orleans Convocation in 2006, Joe had the honor of serving on the Nominating Committee, helping to recommend a new candidate for the Grand Council. In August 2008, Joe was elected to serve a four-year term on the Sigma Pi Educational Foundation and was appointed as the Chairman of the Alumni Communications Committee.

In December 2005, Joe became the Chapter Director for the Theta-Tau Chapter at William Paterson University. In August 2006, he began serving as the Province Archon for New Jersey. At Sigma Pi's most recent Convocation, Joe received the Curtis G. Shake Award for Most Outstanding Province Archon (2006 - 2008).

Joe also operates SigmaPiNJ.com and administrates the SigmaPi.com Network. For the province, Joe visits each chapter at least once a semester and plans two workshops each academic year. Also, Joe has been researching various alumni events for the province including regional professional networking events and alumni luncheons. Another one of Joe's plans for the province is to hold an athletic tournament each spring where the winning chapter gets a traveling trophy.

Joe graduated Monmouth University with a Bachelor's Degree in English in May 2003. In May 2006, he graduated from Rutgers University's Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy with a Master of the Arts in Public Policy Degree. His concentration was in community economic development. Joe resides in Tinton Falls, NJ and works for New Jersey Community Capital as an Associate for Financial Products and Services. He also owns a small web design firm, Usable Web Solutions, LLC.
